Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Acute Pain Management Specialist

Albany Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team as an Acute Pain Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and managing acute pain services in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inpatient consultations and coordinate care with interdisciplinary services and providers.
  • Develop and implement customized individual analgesic regimens for complex patients with multiple co-morbidities.
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities.
  • Conduct patient assessments, collect clinical data, and order and interpret medical laboratory test results.
  • Administer medications and treatments, and perform minor surgery as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
