Job Summary

Lumibird Photonics USA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Engineer I to join our team as a technical liaison between our customers and our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer support via phone and email, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  • Inspect returned products, assess parts and labor requirements, and assist in planning and scheduling repairs.
  • Repair and maintain products returned from the field, utilizing expertise in laser integration and optoelectronic systems.
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair services for electronic assemblies, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Train and instruct other team members on technical procedures and best practices.
  • Complete accurate and detailed documentation for repairs, maintaining high standards of record-keeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the success of our team.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a focus on building strong relationships and resolving issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in relevant software and systems.
  • Ability to work within time parameters, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for training and other business-related purposes.
Education and Experience
  • Degree in laser, optoelectronic, or related technology, with a strong foundation in physics and engineering principles.
  • 2+ years of experience in laser integration, laser servicing, and customer support, with a focus on optoelectronic systems and components.
  • Preferred experience in servicing and repairing electronic and optical equipment, with a strong understanding of electrical and optical systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to use fingers to manipulate small parts, with dexterity and precision.
  • Ability to use hands to seize, hold, and grasp, with strength and control.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, with flexibility and mobility.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods, with endurance and stamina.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch occasionally, with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Requires working near moving mechanical parts, with attention to safety and caution.
  • Requires good vision, with clarity and acuity.
