Highway Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Highway Design Specialist to join our team at H&H, a trusted full-service infrastructure engineering firm with over 137 years of experience. Our clients rely on us for intricate and innovative engineering solutions, and we are looking for a talented individual to assist in the design and development of conceptual alternative and final design plans for highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and production of traffic control and staging plans and traffic, signing, and striping plans
  • Perform geometric designs and plan development utilizing a variety of computer design software, including MicroStation, AutoCadd, InRoads, AutoTurn and GuideSign
  • Assist in the design of ADA-compliant facilities, including sidewalks, shared-use paths, and intersection curb ramps

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required for full-time position
  • Must be a detailed-oriented, self-starter, and comfortable working in a team environment
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with MicroStation V8i experience with Bentley In-Roads (preferred)
  • EIT certification and prior internship experience (preferred)
