Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist to join our team at AAR. As a key member of our Quality/Inspection department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of aircraft engine parts, articles, and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections of aircraft engine parts, articles, and components to ensure compliance with AAR's Quality Management System and customer requirements.
  • Work with peers, lead, supervisor, and manager to develop, deploy, and execute Quality/Inspection department metrics.
  • Process incoming and outgoing material to meet AAR's Quality Management System and customer requirements.
  • Follow FAA and DoD regulatory guidance to establish sufficient traceability of products being inspected.
  • Inspect products, including document review, visual inspection, packaging, shelf life, life-limited records, and materials subject to electrostatic discharge.
  • Review technical and regulatory data, including Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, and FAA Orders.
  • Use calibrated measurement and test equipment, including digital micrometers, pin gages, and digital calipers.
  • Ensure all work is performed to Purchase Order instructions, Repair Order instructions, customer instructions, and appropriate specifications and standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree, GED, required.
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse setting and adapt to a traditional warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, work weekends, and be willing to travel.
