We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at Uphams Corner Health Center. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Quality Patient Care
    • Conduct initial interviews with new patients to obtain medical and dental histories
    • Perform periodontal charting, cleaning, polishing, x-rays, and other routine procedures
    • Deliver direct patient care according to established procedures
  • Assist Dentists and Other Staff
    • Provide chair-side assistance to dentists during special tests and procedures
    • Make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts
    • Develop and implement individualized dental care plans
  • Document Patient Information
    • Document dental histories and patient reactions
    • Record and report pertinent observations to dental staff
  • Contribute to a Positive Work Environment
    • Participate in quality improvement projects
    • Identify problems and suggest improvements
    • Work collaboratively with front desk staff to manage patient schedules
Requirements
  • Education and Training
    • Completed two years of training at an accredited dental hygiene school
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • Appropriate academic training
    • License from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
    • Up to one year of experience to acquire position proficiency
