Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage daily operations of the nuclear medicine department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nuclear medicine technologists, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in technology and equipment, advocating for the adoption of new and innovative imaging services.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, maintaining high-quality imaging services.
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment and other devices as needed, performing a variety of tasks to support imaging services.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Meet the requirements of the highest-level Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
  • Registered nuclear technologist with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT).
  • BLS Certified.
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Evidence of leadership, critical problem-solving skills, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in leadership of personnel.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
