Job Summary

G & G Beverage Distributors, a leading beverage distributor, is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Clerk/Data Entry Specialist to support the General Sales/Marketing Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the receipt and processing of invoices, generating monthly reports, and maintaining vendor files.

Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable: Manage the receipt and processing of invoices, ensure timely payments, and resolve discrepancies related to invoices.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate monthly reports for the company, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files, including contact information and payment history.
  • Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for payable questions and concerns.
  • Month-End Closing: Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Data Entry:
  • Customer Orders: Receive and process customer orders, including inputting orders into the computer system to generate invoices for truck loading.
  • Order Processing: Receive and post daily cash receipts, reconcile accounts, and make deposits.
  • Truck Invoices: Reconcile and balance truck invoices, generating appropriate reports as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answering calls and/or emails from drivers, sales personnel, and customers, and initiating resolution of questions/issues or rerouting to the appropriate person as necessary.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Warehouse, handling truck breakdowns and maintaining files as needed.
  • Reporting: Generate computer reports to support the Warehouse, drivers, and Sales Department.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree required.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of related experience in accounts payable and general accounting.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, excellent attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Communication: Professional telephone manner and good command of the English language, oral and written.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment.
Working Conditions

This is a sedentary office position, working in a typical environment. The employee uses a phone, computer, and general office equipment. Sitting and lifting/carrying material under 25 pounds is required.
