Job Summary

The Videographer is responsible for managing the visual content library for the Department of Student Media, encompassing both online and internal publications. This role involves capturing high-quality images and videos at official university events, maintaining an archive of the department's content, and collaborating with student DJs and writers to produce engaging multimedia content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy for Student Media, including The Xavierite and WXAV 88.3FM.
  • Attend university events to capture photographs and shoot video for publication in The Xavierite.
  • Collaborate with student DJs and writers to produce interviews with potential guests.
  • Publish video and photography content across Student Media's social media platforms.
  • Lead the Entertainment Committee and contribute to the development of engaging multimedia content.
  • Utilize the Adobe Cloud Suite, specifically Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, and Illustrator, to create high-quality visual content.
  • Attend weekly general staff meetings and maintain weekly office hours (4 hours per week).
Requirements
  • Must be a student at Saint Xavier University.
  • Federal Work Study (FWS) required.
  • Experience in photography and video production is preferred.
