Job Overview

The position available is for a TIG Welder, requiring full-time commitment during the day shift (Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm). Compensation is negotiable based on expertise.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Interpreting and comprehending fabrication schematics
  • Measuring and laying out materials accurately, assembling components for welding preparation
  • Executing welding tasks adhering to the highest standards set by AWS and client specifications
  • Completing assembly processes as necessary
  • Conducting repetitive welding tasks on standard weldments following established protocols
  • Utilizing part drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns for guidance
  • Engaging in in-process and final inspections and testing
  • Maintaining necessary documentation to track parts throughout the production process
  • Operating pneumatic hand grinders, basic hand tools, overhead cranes, welders, pedestal grinders, resistance welders, vise clamps, and drills
  • Demonstrating proficiency in welding various materials, primarily metal
  • Possessing extensive knowledge of GTAW and other welding methodologies and equipment
  • Handling complex assemblies that meet customer specifications
  • Setting up welding fixtures and tooling for intricate assembly preparations
Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the fabrication sector
  • Ability to pass a range of welding assessments
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Competence in advanced mathematics for calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Capability to obtain welding certifications for projects
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and supervisors
  • Ability to read and interpret operational documents and follow detailed instructions
  • Provision of employment verification from the past 3 years along with job references
  • Preferred experience in both MIG and TIG welding
