Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Hayward, California. As an integral member of our dynamic healthcare network, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to achieve their maximum level of independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and identify areas requiring intervention.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, goals, and circumstances.
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and adaptive strategies, to enhance daily living skills and promote functional independence.
- Monitor and document patients' progress meticulously, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on techniques and strategies to improve daily living skills and promote long-term success.
- Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in occupational therapy through ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrated clinical experience working with diverse patient populations in a school-based setting preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
