Wound Care Specialist

The Wound Care Registered Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for coordinating wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients. This role requires a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state and current BLS certification. Certification from an approved Wound Care Certification course is preferred.
Responsibilities- Coordinate wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
- Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state.
- Current BLS certification.
- Certification from an approved Wound Care Certification course (preferred).
- 2 years of direct patient care experience.
- Preferred experience in emergency care, critical care, or ET nursing.
