Position Summary:
We are on the lookout for a skilled Water Resources Engineer to become part of our dynamic team.
- Oversee and direct engineering projects, including the development of scopes of work and associated budgets.
- Execute project management responsibilities, leading a team and maintaining communication with clients.
- Draft studies, reports, design documents, plans, and specifications for water resources initiatives.
- Deliver presentations and recommendations to municipal councils, watershed authorities, and county boards.
- Conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews to ensure adherence to HEI quality standards.
- Compile permit reports and finalize permit documentation for Federal and State Agencies.
- Engage in successful business development efforts to enhance HEI's presence.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- IA Professional Engineer License (or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the water resources engineering sector.
- Proven experience collaborating with municipalities and/or Watershed Management authorities.
- Demonstrated expertise in urban stormwater, hydrology, and/or hydraulic modeling for engineering studies and design.
- Comprehensive understanding of water quality challenges associated with stormwater and/or agricultural runoff.
- A solid track record of cultivating client relationships and serving as Client Manager.
- Experience as a Project Manager, developing project scopes based on client requirements and ensuring successful project completion within budget and schedule.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with team members, client groups, and the public.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Authorization to work in the United States permanently without the need for sponsorship is required.
