At Caldera Care, we strive to provide exceptional care to our residents and foster a positive work environment for our staff.

As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the care of a group of residents and staff for a shift of duty, ensuring that our high standards of care are met.

You will work closely with the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to implement care plans, manage the environment, and supervise staff activity and performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience in a long-term care setting, with knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and implementing care plans for all residents
  • Ensuring routine assessments and evaluations are completed by staff
  • Working closely with other departments to coordinate care for residents
  • Communicating with MD/PA/ARNP regarding resident needs
  • Assisting with ongoing care of residents as needed
  • Maintaining assigned areas in a clean and sanitary manner
  • Receiving and transcribing orders to resident charts as written by MD/PA/ARNP

Minimum 1 year of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care setting preferred, though not required.

Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
