The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing the safety and risk management aspects of the PLW Waterworks project in Pflugerville, Texas. This individual will work closely with the project team to ensure compliance with company policies, federal, and state guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Conduct Safety Audits and Inspections: Regularly conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Project Team: Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure safety protocols are followed and implemented.
- Manage Safety Training and Development: Develop and implement safety training programs to ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
- Investigate and Report Incidents: Investigate and report all incidents, near-misses, and accidents to ensure prompt corrective action is taken.
- Communicate with Stakeholders: Communicate safety policies, procedures, and incident reports to stakeholders, including employees, management, and clients.
- CSHO or CSHT Certification: Possess a valid CSHO or CSHT certification.
- Experience in Construction Safety: Have at least five (5) years of experience in managing construction safety.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and clients.
- Language Skills: Be able to communicate in English, with the ability to read, write, and speak Spanish a plus.
- Physical Demands: Be able to perform moderate physical activity, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
