Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Opto-Mechanical Engineer to join our team at KLA. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing opto-mechanical and mechanical parts, modules, and subsystems for our next-generation wafer inspection tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop opto-mechanical and mechanical parts, modules, and subsystems to support the design of next-generation wafer inspection tools.
  • Work with other engineering groups to ensure flawless integration and test at the subsystem and system level.
  • Develop supporting documentation, such as assembly and test procedures, and actively address and resolve product issues throughout the development phases.
Requirements
  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree with 3 years experience, or Master's Level Degree with related experience of 6 years, or Bachelor's Level Degree related experience of 10 years.
  • Understand fundamentals of mechanical engineering, including design principles, tolerance, error budget, materials, and thermal dynamics.
  • Capable of conducting FEA analysis such as stress, thermal, vibration, and flow analysis.
  • Understand basic concept of optics, such as reflection, refraction, focusing, polarization, and simple ray tracing.
