Service Supervisor - Residential

Grubb Properties is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of our residential properties, ensuring that our residents feel at home in a well-cared-for environment.

Maintenance Mastery

You will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining all aspects of our properties, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances. Your expertise will ensure that our residents enjoy a safe and comfortable living space.

Team Leadership

As a Service Supervisor, you will lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and oversight to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard. Your leadership skills will be essential in maintaining a positive and productive team environment.

Apartment Turnover Expertise

You will be responsible for ensuring that vacant apartments are turned over to a move-in ready condition, including inspections, painting, and cleaning. Your attention to detail will ensure that every space is perfect for our new residents.

Inventory Wizardry

You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of supplies and tools, ensuring that we have everything we need to keep our properties running smoothly.

Pool Perfection

You will be responsible for maintaining the pool area, ensuring that it is a safe and enjoyable space for our residents.

Safety Stewardship

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for our team and residents, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.

Scheduling Savvy

You will work closely with the Property Manager to coordinate schedules and assignments, ensuring that we are always covered for routine maintenance and emergencies.

Team Building

You will play a vital role in building and maintaining a competent and cohesive maintenance team, including hiring and training new staff members.

Budgeting Brilliance

You will be responsible for managing our maintenance budget, ensuring that we stay within budget while delivering top-notch service.

Resident Relations

You will be the face of our maintenance team, ensuring that our residents feel heard and valued while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming community.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Service Supervisor who has a strong background in maintenance operations, team leadership, and inventory management. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional service and a commitment to safety and quality, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • At least five years' experience in maintenance operations
  • CPO certification required
  • CFC Type I & Type II certification required; CFC Universal certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of heat pump, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, appliance repair, and carpentry
  • Interest and enthusiasm for the job
  • Pleasing personality and ability to work with and understand the problems and attitudes of residents
  • Experience with Yardi software systems, a plus
  • Good organizational and mechanical skills
  • Ability to maintain an inventory system

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Works in office setting, in residential buildings, and outdoors
  • Works under moderate supervision
  • Frequently moves about to coordinate work
  • Frequently walks, climbs stairs or ladders, bends, stoops, reaches, uses equipment with hands, pulls, and lifts up to 50 lb
