Your primary focus will be to partner with engineers and researchers to develop software and services that enhance our research initiatives, such as Project Aria, a key tool in advancing Meta's machine perception and AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including researchers, hardware and software engineers, and product managers, to establish clear objectives and timelines for delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Define project scope, requirements, constraints, dependencies, and potential risks.
  • Foster strong relationships across the research team, suppliers, vendors, and leadership to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Communicate program objectives, progress, and risks effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and address technical, legal, procedural, logistical, and communication challenges, driving innovative solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and processes that adapt to the fast-paced and evolving nature of technology development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in program management, specifically in delivering software products and cloud services.
  • Familiarity with Product Development Processes (PDP) and Software Development Lifecycles (SDL).
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects across various teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in a dynamic technology environment with rapidly changing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field, such as Computer Science.
  • Experience in launching AR/VR or computer vision products or services.
  • Background in research environments or startups.
