Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Care Specialist to join our team at the University at Buffalo Otolaryngology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a valid state Physician Assistant license, certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and at least two years of experience working as a Physician Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries in pediatric patients
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays to inform treatment decisions
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans and prescribe medications as needed
  • Educate patients and their families on health and wellness topics
  • Provide empathetic counseling and support to patients and their loved ones
  • Monitor and manage chronic health conditions in pediatric patients
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
