We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team at LER TechForce LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems.

The Quality Engineer will analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure correlation and coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to resolve issues that are not plant controllable. Additionally, the candidate will manage engineering changes, working with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or an applicable Technical Engineering Degree from an accredited university. Prior experience in Automotive Engineering, Engineering Quality, or Manufacturing Quality is required, as well as strong proficiency in MS Office applications and G-Suite tools.

The successful Quality Engineer will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with executive-level personnel and plant staff, and have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform root cause analysis of quality issues to analyze quality performance utilizing statistical, analytical, and advanced problem-solving tools
  • Recommend and implement cost-effective permanent corrective actions
  • Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure correlation
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to resolve issues that are not plant controllable
  • Manage engineering changes, working with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution
  • Conduct product evaluation requests to ensure robustness of product or process changes before full implementation
  • Recommend and validate rework procedures
  • Develop inspection procedures and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or an applicable Technical Engineering Degree from an accredited university
  • 2+ years practical experience in Automotive Engineering, Engineering Quality, or Manufacturing Quality
  • Prior application and use of problem-solving tools and statistics
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and G-Suite tools
  • Effective presentation/public speaking skills
