This role is based in Apopka, Florida, located just a short distance from the vibrant city of Orlando. Our mission is to elevate the quality of life for individuals with diabetes, advocate for healthy living, provide exceptional clinical care and education, and engage in research aimed at diabetes prevention and treatment.
The selected physician will play a pivotal role in establishing a new outpatient practice and will collaborate with a larger team of over 20 endocrine specialists across various locations in Central Florida.
Practice Overview
The AdventHealth Diabetes Institute operates as a comprehensive, integrated practice dedicated to endocrinology and diabetes management, alongside extensive diabetes and nutrition education services. Our program is nationally recognized, consistently earning accolades in Endocrinology by U.S. News and World Report. We also serve as a training site for internal medicine residents and medical students, and actively participate in clinical research focused on diabetes, obesity, and metabolism in collaboration with our Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes.

AdventHealth Apopka is a 120-bed acute-care community hospital situated in Orange County, offering a diverse range of inpatient and outpatient services, from critical care to specialized emergency medicine. Candidate Requirements
Applicants must be fellowship-trained and possess active board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine, with board certification or eligibility (within five years of completing training) in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
Employment Structure
This position is offered through AdventHealth Medical Group, a multi-specialty organization comprising over 900 physicians.
