Job Description

Job Title: PEIMS Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented PEIMS Clerk to join our team at Jubilee Academies. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing data entry, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely submission of PEIMS data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Enter data into computer databases with direct supervision, including accounting, personnel, budget, demographics, or Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and auditable records, including physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents.
  • Reporting: Run reports, verification checks, and distribute Six Weeks Reports to appropriate staff for verification and correction.
  • Communication: Work cooperatively with principal, personnel office staff, teachers, and special program departments to collect, organize, and format data required for submitting to district PEIMS.
  • PEIMS Submission: Submit accurate and completed PEIMS data to the district.
  • Documentation: Submit documentation for PID/PET corrections in a timely manner.
  • PEIMS Campus Clerks: Process PEIMS data, including data entry, withdrawals, change coding, and properly coding all special programs.
  • Professional Development: Attend recommended Region 20 PEIMS workshops.
  • Other Duties: Assist with all other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency) preferred.
  • Background Check: Candidate must have a satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee.
  • Skills: Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records, proficient typing, keyboarding, and file maintenance skills, ability to comply with established deadlines, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent and prolonged standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing required.
  • Environmental Factors: Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment and supplies.
