Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paralleling Commissioning Engineer to join our team in the Distribution Business Segment in Dallas, TX. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for complex service-related issues, serving as a technical support resource, and formulating and directing complex repair plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for complex service-related issues
  • Serve as a technical support resource, providing diagnostic support on complex and hard-to-diagnose warranty and non-warranty repair events
  • Formulate and direct complex repair plans
  • Document the results of diagnostic and repair actions in the appropriate database clearly and concisely
  • Manage the escalation of more complex requests to the appropriate level of support
  • Lead diagnostic support and escalation process improvement activities
  • Maintain knowledge and technical understanding of current products and new products
  • Promote Cummins Service capability and service programs to increase sales
  • Distribute technical communications to the assigned region
  • Investigate product issues at customer or dealer locations
  • Mentor and coach technicians in the region to improve capability
Requirements
  • Demonstrated role competence is required
  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required
  • Prior experience in a technical role is preferred
Additional Information

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of on-site work experience in the power generation industry, with experience in paralleling switchgear systems troubleshooting and communication skills. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electronics, data networks, and/or PLC experience.
