Job Title: Track Host/Hostess

Job Summary:

As a Track Host/Hostess at SPEEDVEGAS, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our valued guests. You will be the face of our organization, ensuring a flawless experience for our customers by managing every aspect of their visit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment for customers and co-workers.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and appearance, reflecting the critical role this position plays as an ambassador in receiving our guests.
  • Greet customers professionally and proactively assess their needs before they feel they have to ask.
  • Manage cash registers, maintain accountability for balances, and perform tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, and balancing cash drawers.
  • Compute sales prices, total purchases, receive and process cash or credit payments.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding the track experience and SPEEDVEGAS merchandise.
  • Work both outside and inside the office, based on the needs of the racetrack and the needs of the customers/booking schedule through each day.
  • Take ownership of all customer complaints and seek to resolve any issues that arise as trained.
  • Keep constant watch around the track, office, and all guest-accessible areas for potential safety hazards.
  • Clean merchandise shelves, counters, and tables throughout each shift to ensure a professional appearance for SPEEDVEGAS at all times.
  • Protect business, client, and employee information, including customer names, billing, and contact information.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is mandatory.
Requirements:
  • Cash register experience and ability to work independently at different positions.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail, multitask, and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work at all levels with customers and management.
  • Goal-oriented, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and problem-solving oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:

Work is performed in a retail setting with high levels of face-to-face client interaction. The worker is regularly exposed to real-world racetrack conditions, noise levels, sights, sounds, and smells. This position requires decision-making without immediate supervision, prioritizing tasks, being exact, meeting strict deadlines, and working with the public.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, two or more years' experience in face-to-face customer service.
  • Basic Skills: Active learning, active listening, critical thinking, basic math, reading comprehension, speaking, writing.
  • Social Skills: Coordination, instructing, negotiation, persuasion, service orientation, social perceptiveness.
  • Problem Solving Skills: Complex problem solving.
  • Systems Skills: Judgment and decision making, social perceptiveness.
  • Resource Management Skills: Time management and ability to prioritize/reprioritize.
  • Desktop Computer Skills: Spreadsheets, presentations, internet navigation, word processing.
