Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the success of our projects by providing expert cost estimating services during all phases of project execution. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with project managers to develop and refine project cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all project phases.
  • Preparing comprehensive cost estimates from the initiating phase to project close-out, covering all disciplines and project requirements.
  • Working closely with project engineering teams to negotiate design modifications and construction change orders with contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Reviewing and evaluating contractor and consultant cost proposals to ensure alignment with project objectives and budget constraints.
  • Developing and refining integrated master schedules in collaboration with project managers and schedulers, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Supporting project managers in planning, resolving issues, and providing cost-related expertise to ensure project success.
  • Establishing and maintaining cost estimating standards and formats to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of new functions and requirements, such as contingency management and cost risk management, as identified through risk analysis workshops.
  • Documenting all basis of estimates and estimate revisions, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilizing document control systems to archive current and historical estimates and supporting data, ensuring easy access and reference for future projects.
  • Supporting the development, management, and maintenance of cost databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date cost information for all projects.
  • Familiarity with industry cost engineering standards, including those set by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering and best practices.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, plus ten years of relevant experience.
  • Desirable experience in airport construction projects.
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Certified Estimating Professional.

Salary range: up to $195,000
