The Lead Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Specialist plays a crucial role in executing and overseeing all forms of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring during various surgical procedures, including neurosurgery, vascular surgery, pediatric operations, ENT interventions, orthopedic spine surgeries, and interventional radiology. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to: motor cranial nerve recording, spontaneous or evoked electromyography (EMG), spinal screw and direct nerve stimulation, intraoperative somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP), intraoperative electroencephalography (EEG), intraoperative brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAER), and intraoperative transcranial electrical motor evoked potentials (TCeMEP) for the localization of sensorimotor cortex during surgical or invasive radiological procedures.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, rotating shifts, 40 hours per week

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in anatomy/physiology, biological sciences, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in intraoperative monitoring is essential.
  • Certification in Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM licensure) is required, although there may be alternative opportunities for candidates without licensure.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operating room protocols, sterile techniques, and infection control measures.
