Job Title: Structural Steel Fabricator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator to join our team at Helix Resources LLC in Thibodaux, LA. As a Structural Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling and installing structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes, and plates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies using ruler, square, scribe or templates
• Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes, and plates
• Operate cutting equipment including torches and various power and hand tools
• Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in fitter work-related field (Aluminum preferred)
• MUST have lay-out and fitting experience with miscellaneous metal & structural steel
• MUST HAVE VALID LICENSE
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
• MUST be able to pass physical
• MUST be able to pass drug screen
• MUST be able to pass background check
• MUST have reliable transportation
• MUST be able to provide own welding shield & PPE (Hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, & gloves.)

• Must be able to read and understand blueprint drawings
• Excellent math skills with ability to efficiently read a tape measure

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $24.00 - $29.00 per hour. Benefits include weekly pay, Monday-Sunday pay schedule, and opportunities for advancement.
