We are seeking a Transportation Specialist to join our Transportation Services team based in Fairhaven, MA. As a Transportation Specialist, you will support individuals with disabilities by ensuring safety and providing freedom of movement and access to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe daily transportation of individuals on route
  • Assist individuals entering and exiting the vehicle as needed
  • Provide curb to curb service in a professional, safe and courteous manner
  • Conduct and document vehicle safety check prior to each route
  • Monitor the behavior and/or medical condition of individuals with disabilities during daily transport
  • Report and record all incidents to the Transportation Manager

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • 2+ years as a licensed driver
  • Experience and/or training working with individuals with disabilities preferred
  • Ability to assist individuals in and out of vehicles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen required
