CNA Instructor

MaineGeneral Health is a comprehensive non-profit system dedicated to enhancing the health of our patients, families, and communities. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MaineGeneral Skilled Rehab & Long Term Care team as a per diem CNA Instructor.

The CNA Instructor will utilize the state required nursing assistant curriculum to plan lessons, educate students, and evaluate student participation and learning over each 9-week class session. This is a unique hybrid opportunity that combines classroom and clinical instruction with bedside care.

• Develop and implement teaching outlines and select or develop teaching aids/activities as appropriate.
• Monitor students' progress throughout assigned courses and provide support and resources as needed.
• Ensure safe practices in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Provide supervision to students, tracking attendance, completion of skills lists, and academic success per state requirements.

• Current State of Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain one in a timely fashion.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a minimum of 1 year in a Long Term Care facility.
• Completed a course in teaching adults and/or experience supervising CNAs, preferred.
