Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker to join our team at Blackstone Consulting. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining facility in accordance with contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean all table tops, counters, and window sills in the dining facility, and sweep and mop floors daily. Perform bi-weekly floor waxing as required.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, scrape, and cut vegetables and fruits, prepare simple salads, cut, slice, plate, and garnish cakes and pies, and prepare coffee, tea, and other beverages.
  • Serving: Serve customers with correct portions and menu item mixes, and remove all dishes from the collection station and wash according to contract requirements.
  • Kitchen Equipment: Clean other kitchen equipment on a daily basis, or as needed.
Requirements:
  • Physical Demands: Lift and carry up to 50 lbs, work in a standing position in the dining facility and kitchen area for 6 to 7 hours (excluding break and lunch periods), and perform some bending and stooping.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced food service environment with frequent exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals.
