Job Opportunity: Saw Operator

Mobile Staff Solutions is seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team in the Mulberry area. This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate metal-sawing machines, including hacksaw, bandsaw, circular saw, friction saw, and rubber-disk saw, to cut metal stock to precise dimensions.
  • Read job orders for specifications, such as material, type, and size of stock, and dimensions to be cut.
  • Transfer stock to the machine, manually or with a hoist.
  • Install saw blades and set blade tension and cutting speed for specified operations.
  • Set saw blade angles to achieve desired angle cuts, using a wrench.
  • Position and secure stock against stops or in feeding devices.
  • Start the machine and monitor its operation.
  • Measure workpieces for conformance to specifications, using a rule.
  • Mark identifying data on workpieces.
  • Replace defective cutting blades or wheels, using hand tools.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating metal saws.
  • Prior experience in a steel fabrication shop.
  • Prior experience with telehandlers.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Clean background.
