Job Title: Patent Agent - Ph.D. Chemistry

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Patent Agent to join our team at Marina Sirras & Associates LLC. As a Patent Agent, you will play a critical role in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the life sciences field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications in the life sciences field, including drafting and filing patent applications, responding to office actions, and conducting patentability searches.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other professionals to develop and implement patent strategies for clients.
  • Conduct patentability searches and provide opinions on patentability.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in patent law and regulations, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in life sciences patent prosecution.
  • Ph.D. in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry, or M.D. required.
  • USPTO admission required.
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
