Job Summary

As a Multi-Store Area Manager at Jackson Hewitt - 3339, you will play a critical role in the management of various offices within an assigned district. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day activities of seasonal team members assigned to several store locations, with a focus on maximizing the efficiency of Tax Preparer work and increasing revenue and office profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruiting and Staffing: Lead recruiting efforts and manage the interviewing process of seasonal employees for assigned area.
  • Performance Management: Monitor associate performance to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors, or problems.
  • Scheduling and Time Management: Reviews and approves work schedules and timecard approvals, monitor time tracker during all shifts, works with Human Resources on any employee relations issues or complaints and training.
  • Store Operations: Ensures all assigned locations meet company standards including but not limited to: office set up, buildouts and breakdown, technology set up, telecommunications, office supplies and facilities maintenance. Maintains relationships with property managers and landlords.
  • Employee Guidance: Provides employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitors performance and holds/voids/rejects, discount reports and productivity reports for assigned store group. Also responsible for meeting all office goals including, but not limited to revenue, cash control and tax return count in assigned area.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent related business experience.
  • Courses of Study: Course of study in management or in tax preparation and/or accounting preferred.
  • Experience: Two years previous management or supervisory experience required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications such as email, internet browser, Word, Excel, and accounting or tax preparation software.
  • Tax Preparation Experience: Previous tax preparation experience and possess a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) preferred.
