Civil Engineering Land Development Specialist

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Civil CAD Designer to join our team at Absolute Engineering, Inc. in Central Florida.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Designer with expertise in land development projects, including mixed-use developments, townhomes, single-family, multi-family residential subdivisions, and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and prepare land development projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and other disciplines to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Develop grading, erosion control, sanitary sewer, water, storm sewer, and roadways designs that meet project objectives.
- Review plans for completeness, accuracy, and quality control, identifying areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot and suggest solutions to problems that may impact project completion.
- Professional experience in civil engineering, preferably with site grading, plan-profile drawings, cross sections, pressurized pipe, and gravity pipe systems, roadway and subdivision layout, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and construction drawing preparation.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and WaterCAD, with proficiency in Civil 3D and ArcGIS an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the project manager and team members.
- Ability to design land development projects from initial stages through final construction documents.
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan with matching contributions, life and disability insurance, paid time off (PTO), and professional development assistance.
