Service Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Advisor to join our team at Sioux City Ford. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and are completely satisfied with their experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain sales goals set out by management while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problem, obtain customer and vehicle data, and schedule appointments.
  • Advise customers on the care of their vehicles and the value of maintaining them according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Follow up on the progress of each repair order, contact customers regarding changes in estimates or time promised, and record changes on repair orders as needed.
  • Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments, and respond to customer inquiries promptly.
  • Interpret warranty information and policies to customers.
  • Identify repair orders that require special handling, such as rush, customer waiting, or special problem, and inform the Service Manager of any issues or potential problems.
  • Stay up-to-date on technical and performance information for all vehicles serviced by the dealership.
  • Closing repair orders in a timely and efficient manner, and explaining additional work needed to customers, including the additional cost and time consideration, as needed.
Requirements:
  • General knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Two years of experience in a dealership position, with sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
