Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Regional One Health. As a Pharmacist/Float PRN, you will be responsible for providing professional pharmacy services to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical consultation and education to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals on medication therapy and other pharmacy-related topics.
  • Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile and non-sterile preparations, as prescribed by physicians and according to established protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness, and intervene when necessary to ensure patient safety.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to pharmacy services.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including but not limited to, participating in research projects, providing education to staff, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Tennessee.
  • Experience in patient care and pharmacy operations, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations, as well as current trends and developments in pharmacy practice.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and concisely, and maintain accurate records and reports.

The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, and lifting, with occasional pushing, pulling, and climbing. The successful candidate will be able to perform these tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
