Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic Supervisor to join our team. As a Paramedic Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading our paramedic team, responding to emergency calls, and providing medical care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the medical needs of patients.
  • Administer appropriate medical treatment and interventions according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and support to our paramedic team, ensuring accurate scheduling and payroll.
  • Oversee the integrity and maintenance of all payroll-related tasks.
  • Manage the overall operations of specific contracts assigned.
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports and statistics.
  • Monitor employee scheduled pay increases and performance evaluations.
  • Attend EMS meetings and other pertinent meetings.
  • Assign and attempt to cover all paid time off.
  • Maintain and inventory company equipment and employee uniforms.
  • Respond to emergencies and work days not covered.
  • Conduct employee exit interviews.
  • Oversee the contract's personnel.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with department officials.
  • Oversee the filing of Worker's Compensation Claims and promote workplace safety.
  • Provide and document all required annual training.
  • Maintain all paramedic CE time and monitor relicensing requirements.
  • Respond promptly to company inquiries, notices, and requests for information.
  • Recruit potential new employees and direct them to recruiting/HR staff.
  • Disseminate PSI information and announcements to staff.
  • Maintain adequate staffing of contract.
  • Act as a liaison between contract/department and PSI.
  • Ensure all ambulance billing information is complete, accurate, and remitted.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a Paramedic program and maintain a current/valid Illinois Department of Public Health License.
  • Must be an active licensed paramedic for a minimum of five (5) years.
  • Capable of completing continuing education and testing requirements in the system assigned.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Current/Valid Illinois Driver's License of proper classification.
  • State of Illinois Firefighter Certifications (for Firefighter applicants).
  • Successful completion of a professional and criminal background check.
  • Pass pre-employment testing including a Fit for Duty Physical, Drug Screening, Agility and Lifting Evaluation.

  • ACLS.
  • PALS/PEPP.
  • PHTLS/ BTLS/ITLS.
  • CPR Instructor.
