About the Role:

Absolute Business Solutions Corp (ABSC) is in search of a DevOps Software Engineer to collaborate with a dynamic team in the design, development, and deployment of an advanced technology stack that supports the DIA-NMEC DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P). This role is integral to the modernization program of the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) and NMEC's mission to centralize and standardize the Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain a production-level big data pipeline utilizing a microservices architecture with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
  • Enhance and sustain CI/CD processes and DevOps scripts to enable rapid development cycles, prompt error detection, and robust deployments.
  • Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure encompassing both physical and virtual environments.
  • Utilize Helm for configuring Kubernetes deployments to meet new feature specifications.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers to devise solutions for new functionalities and requirements.
  • Contribute technical insights to systems engineering documentation and models in coordination with team members.
  • Engage in Agile release planning, scrum meetings, bug triage, design sessions, and other collaborative activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years in software development or systems engineering; 6 years with a master’s degree.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with the capability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.
  • Proficient in Linux environments.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Development experience in languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Java.
  • Proven ability to engage in cross-functional planning and execution.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience managing systems at scale.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Experience with production or enterprise-level systems.
  • Knowledge of technologies including Kafka, Kubernetes monitoring tools, GPU-based Kubernetes, SALT for deployment automation, and Elasticsearch.
