Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver a department master plan, managing daily results and overseeing equipment layout, team design, and staffing.
  • Develop the capability and leadership characteristics of Peanut Butter Area Leaders and Operations Process Engineers.
  • Meet Quality, Safety, Reliability, and Cost targets for plant operations.
  • Collaborate with other plant functions to ensure all production needs are met.
  • Coordinate activities to increase Operations Excellence methodologies throughout the plant, improving metrics.
  • Coach others on overall plant product flow, including inputs and outputs.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with corporate Research & Development teams and Engineering departments.
  • Identify and eliminate losses from the operation, leading in solving issues and implementing improvements.
  • Manage capital projects to improve Operations measures in the areas of capacity growth, production efficiencies, Quality, and Safety.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Previous experience managing others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Experience directing and managing vendors.
  • Ability to teach and lead others.
Additional skills and experience that would make someone successful in this role (not required):
  • Food processing or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in a high-performance work environment.
