Job Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our team at Strategic Staffing Solutions. This is a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients, requiring a W2-only arrangement with no visa sponsorship or C2C eligibility.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assigned projects in the Outage & Project Management (O&PM) Department, carrying out assignments requiring knowledge and experience in power plants, particularly in the planning, design, and execution of capital projects and operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serving as a discipline engineer on assigned projects
  • Acting in a project engineer role, coordinating the efforts of other discipline engineers on the project team
  • Providing technical feasibility and engineering studies as they relate to the Energy Supply area
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of standards and processes related to design of engineered systems within the engineers discipline
  • Utilizing new technologies and engineering techniques and tools
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of design engineering and project engineering experience
  • Strong attention to detail, good planning skills, and good written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and a heightened awareness for safety
  • Leadership qualities and team working skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the power distribution of a power generation facility, including ranging from 120V distribution panels to generator step-up transformers
  • Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, Florida Building Codes and Standards
