We are seeking a skilled and energetic Prep Cook to join our team at Snooze Chapel Hill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of food items to ensure smooth service and high-quality dishes for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, including tables, shelves, broilers, sauté, burners, ovens, flat top griddles, and refrigeration equipment, both during and after service.
- Inventory Management: Handle, store, and rotate all products properly in accordance with health department standards and Snooze Sanitation guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate clearly with teammates and the management team to ensure seamless service and high-quality dishes.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
- Skills: Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability: Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
- Age and Authorization: At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
