Position Overview:

In the role of Vice President of Total Rewards, you will concentrate on the formulation and implementation of a comprehensive strategy for compensation, benefits, and recognition, alongside Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Your responsibilities will include providing strategic guidance that advances our compensation, equity, and benefits initiatives, ensuring alignment with Help at Home's core values. As a vital member of the HR Leadership team, you will collaborate closely with senior executives to design and manage competitive reward programs on a large scale. You will report directly to the Chief People Officer. This position presents an exciting opportunity for a leader in compensation and benefits who excels in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

This is a remote role with occasional travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate and disseminate Help at Home's Total Rewards philosophy to support both immediate objectives and long-term business goals.
  • Develop and oversee the strategic design and implementation of the company's compensation, equity, and benefits programs to achieve desired business outcomes, reinforce organizational values, and enhance employee experience.
  • Lead all initiatives related to compensation and equity, including the strategy and execution of job architecture, salary benchmarking, conducting comprehensive compensation analyses, and updating salary structures for all roles.
  • Ensure that Help at Home's benefits offerings meet the changing needs of our diverse workforce in an innovative manner across all markets, while maintaining compliance with all legal standards.
  • Collaborate with key members of the HR Leadership Team to leverage insights on market conditions and the competitive talent landscape, ensuring fairness and compliance in pay practices and policies.
  • Oversee HRIS, including the management of the Workday implementation.
  • Direct the ongoing design of variable compensation structures through robust incentive plans that align business and individual goals.
  • Manage relationships and projects with external partners, consultants, and vendors concerning Total Rewards.
  • Ensure that Help at Home's compensation and benefits practices promote our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion objectives through thoughtful and innovative approaches throughout the Total Rewards cycle.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to enhance employee awareness and understanding of compensation and benefits programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Compensation and Total Rewards capacity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and managing comprehensive Total Rewards programs within large organizations that serve a diverse population.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits administration, job evaluation, and salary structure design.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the executive level.
  • Extensive experience in team management and leading large-scale projects.
  • Strong technical skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), particularly those related to compensation tools and benefits administration, preferably Workday.
  • Ability to assess and recommend new tools, implementing impactful improvements in a timely manner.
  • Excellent collaborative skills, with a proactive approach to communication and relationship-building across all levels of the organization.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset, coupled with intellectual energy, dedicated to serving the organization and its people.
  • A culture advocate who recognizes and values the significance of a robust compensation and benefits program and its influence on long-term business strategy and organizational morale.
  • Strong business acumen, including proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to create presentations for executives, committees, and boards.
  • Sound judgment and the capacity to make independent, informed decisions.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Monthly or quarterly travel; frequency may vary based on business needs.
