Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and support to our patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording vital signs and patient observations
  • Set up and operate hemodialysis machines, as well as perform other technical tasks as needed
  • Build long-term relationships with patients and their families, providing education and support on kidney disease and dialysis-related topics
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, and social workers, to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be comfortable working around blood and needles
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
