Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients, verify patient ID, and obtain necessary information to ensure accurate procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and obtaining consent forms as needed
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during procedures, monitoring their condition and medical equipment
- Document sonographer's impressions and relay findings to physicians
- Obtain and record images necessary to demonstrate normal and pathological findings
- Credentialed in Ultrasound technology by one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics/Gynecology (preferred)
