Multimodality Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Multimodality Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures using various modalities, including CT and radiology. Your primary responsibility will be to produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

• Perform imaging procedures using CT and radiology modalities, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
• Meet continuing education and clinical requirements as per regulatory standards.
• Operate equipment, accessories, and workflows for the two imaging modalities.
• Select appropriate imaging sequences, considering approved protocols and other factors influencing data acquisition parameters.
• Obtain patient clinical history and lab work, documenting information for licensed practitioners.
• Apply safety principles to minimize risk to patients, self, and others.
• Provide radiation protection and other protection specific to the two modalities.
• Verify patient identification using two patient identifiers and procedure requested or prescribed.
• Perform venipuncture, starting, maintaining, and removing intravenous access when required.
• Identify, prepare, and administer medications/contrast as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
• Use a power injector for medication administration with approved vascular access device.

• Certification and registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist).
• Competency in two of the following and obtain certification within 12 months: Bone Densitometry (BD), Breast Sonography (BS), Radiologic Technology (R), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), Ultrasonography (S), Nuclear Medicine (N), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI), Cardiac Sonographer (CS), Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI), Mammography (M), Vascular Sonography (VS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care).
• State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed).
• Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute or of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or of an approved School of Ultrasound/Medical Sonography (preferred).
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment (preferred).
