Position Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Security Shift Supervisor for a prominent Automotive Manufacturing Facility.

Location: Kansas City, KS (Fairfax)

Shift Schedule: Mon/Tues 7:30am-3:30pm & Wed/Thur 3:30pm-11:30pm

Compensation: $20.30 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute emergency notifications as per site protocols
  • Guide and instruct team members on their responsibilities
  • Facilitate cross-training for officers to enhance versatility and operational efficiency
  • Provide recommendations for productivity improvements and cost reductions
  • Advise on physical security assessments and procedural guidelines
  • Make personnel recommendations for those under direct supervision
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training for security personnel on shift
  • Ensure compliance with training and screening requirements for security staff
  • Manage overtime to align with company standards
  • Conduct regular inspections of security personnel to ensure quality service
  • Perform additional operational functions as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements may vary based on local regulations
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must meet one of the following criteria:
    • Associate's degree or higher in any field
    • Active-duty military service or National Guard
    • Experience as auxiliary police or police cadet
    • At least one year of verifiable security experience
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience demonstrating:
    • Exceptional customer service abilities
    • Ability to maintain composure in emergencies
    • Capability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Skills in coaching and motivating team members
  • Active listening and teamwork capabilities
  • Ability to assess situations accurately
  • Research and investigative skills
  • Conflict mediation skills
  • Goal-setting and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Emergency Management Systems and FEMA Incident Command Certification
  • Knowledge of EMS protocols or certification as a Medical First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician
