About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Site Auditor to join our team at Freedom Forever. As a key member of our construction review team, you will be responsible for providing professional site auditing services to obtain and communicate the necessary technical data to support the preparation of project scope information and permit-ready documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to project sites to gather necessary information to complete technical design documents for solar systems
  • Create detailed rooftop map layouts for solar arrays, including roof layout dimensions and all roof penetrations
  • Develop positive relationships with customers to establish rapport and gather facilities assessment data as needed
  • Conduct physical site audits using auditing tools, including tablets/phones with apps, measuring devices, and other related equipment
  • Upload site audit documents to coordinate with the design/engineering department to produce permit-ready documents within a timely manner
  • Follow Freedom Forever Standard Operating Procedures for Site Audit to ensure a smooth handoff between departments
  • Provide and maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle
  • Develop relationships with sales teams, design professionals, and subcontractors to support business activities
  • Gather detailed structural data on multiple types of buildings
  • Identify issues on homes that may interfere with our installations
  • Gather all electrical data required by the company
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a discipline related to construction
  • Site audit experience required
  • Solar installation experience is preferred
  • High School, GED, or Trade School degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences, engineering, or architecture required
  • Ability to understand, read, and comprehend contract documents, plans, and written and verbal communication skills required to prepare site audit documents and conduct site audit meetings with customers
  • Must be physically able to work on roofs and in attics, as well as lift 50+ pounds on occasion
  • Must have a valid state driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to travel to different offices if needed
  • Must be able to work different schedules that involve Mondays-Saturdays
  • Must be able to follow all safety procedures required by the company
