Job Title: Energy Inspector Specialist

In the role of an Energy Inspector Specialist with JKP Energy Inspections, LLC, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment conducting field inspections to ensure compliance with energy programs and building codes. This position requires strong knowledge of construction practices and materials, as well as proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. With a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, you will be able to travel to various job sites throughout the Gilbert area.

This is a PHYSICAL job, requiring climbing ladders, going into attics, carrying equipment (50lbs and under), and reaching above your head to reach ceilings of different heights. You must also have your own car that can hold large equipment including ladders, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting field inspections to collect data and ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.
  • Reviewing and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to verify accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Collaborating with construction management teams to provide updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns.
  • Documenting findings and observations during inspections, including measurements, photographs, and detailed notes.
  • Generating reports utilizing company-provided iPads to send to construction managers.
  • Holding trades training and other informational meetings.
  • Conducting site visits to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices and techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify errors or discrepancies.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in math, spreadsheets, and data entry.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with various positions.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
