Position Overview:

Could you be our next Agile Business Systems Analyst II (Salesforce)? We are broadening the adoption of Agile practices across various platforms and are in search of several Business Systems Analysts to reinforce our team.

In this position, you will be tasked with gathering business and technical requirements and conducting testing throughout the sprint cycle, utilizing a combination of analytical, technical, business, testing, and critical thinking skills. This role is vital in enabling your Scrum team to excel in developing effective technological solutions and achieving business objectives. You will play a crucial role in collaborating across the organization, supporting one or more technology products that simplify processes for our agents, internal staff, and/or policyholders. The Agile Business Systems Analyst II collaborates cross-functionally to facilitate delivery across moderately complex domains and capabilities.

This is a hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute as a member of a development team within a Scrum framework, leveraging diverse skills to proactively undertake tasks essential for meeting sprint objectives.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architecture on solution design, grasping the overall vision and developing solutions that effectively utilize technology to fulfill business requirements.
  • Engage with Product Management to comprehend business and technology needs, creating and refining user stories, ensuring the Team Product Backlog is consistently prepared with 1-2 sprints' worth of tasks.
  • Participate actively in refinement, story pointing, sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Document process flows for current, transitional, and future states, including identifying and analyzing gaps.
  • Comprehend data concepts and know how to extract data, analyze its relation to requirements, perform data mapping, identify patterns, draw conclusions, and effectively summarize findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Apply understanding of system integration concepts to design, write appropriate technical/integration user stories, and conduct system integration testing across multiple systems.
  • Draft functional and non-functional requirements in the form of acceptance criteria, utilizing the GHERKIN method.
  • Employ a variety of requirements techniques to enhance user stories where suitable (decision tables, wireframes, story mapping, etc.).
  • Design, plan, and execute functional, non-functional, system integration, end-to-end, and regression testing.
  • Conduct successful playback, sprint, and system demonstrations that emphasize delivered value and solicit actionable feedback.
  • Identify opportunities for reusability of requirements, testing, and design.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on supported products and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience in a technical role.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a technical and quality assurance analyst capacity.
  • 2+ years of experience working within a Scrum team and executing tasks within the Scrum framework.
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or related agile certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in the life insurance sector is a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate an agile mindset, values, principles, and practices and excel in a high-performing agile team.
  • Capability to generate innovative ideas and apply them to solve complex business and technical challenges.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify risks, make confident decisions, and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills, including the ability to influence others and drive problem resolution.
  • Ability to quickly learn new domains, products, and technologies.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey important information clearly, ask effective questions, and listen and synthesize information.
  • Clear and concise written communication skills, with the ability to adjust writing style for various audiences and articulate complex concepts effectively.
  • Teamwork skills, including fostering a collaborative environment, effectively resolving conflicts, and maintaining trust and respect among team members.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Lightning.
  • Intermediate SQL skills, with the ability to use SQL for data querying and manipulation for analysis and testing.
  • Understanding of DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD).
  • Experience with application lifecycle management systems (Jira is a plus).
  • Experience with test management systems (Zephyr is a plus).
  • Experience with load testing and scalability concepts.
  • Automated testing skills are a plus.
  • Experience with logging tools and log analysis.
  • Working knowledge of API technologies, including the use of Postman.
  • Understanding of UI/UX concepts and the ability to apply them to UI design.
