Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Libertyville, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to our patients. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will administer respiratory care procedures and modalities in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. You will use evidence-based practices, clinical decision making, and skilled communication to create a safe and supportive patient environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized respiratory care plans.
  • Administer respiratory care procedures and modalities, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on respiratory health and disease management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
Requirements:
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which you practice.
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
