Job Summary

The Rowing Graduate Assistant will play a key role in the daily operations of the Rowing program at Barry University. This position is responsible for assisting with the instruction, development, and recruitment of the novice team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the walk-on Novice program, including on-campus recruiting, preparation for practice sessions, and assisting with student-athlete travel to and from off-campus training sessions.
  • Assist with player instruction, skill development, and on-water activities.
  • Support the head coach with off-campus recruiting, travel planning, and execution, as well as other administrative duties.
  • Help facilitate travel arrangements, itineraries, and meal orders.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field of study.
  • Barry University graduate student.
  • Ability to drive a motor boat and experience with boat maintenance and rigging is a plus.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
